As I sit by my window, I dream of days gone by
When we were young and felt undaunted
When we used to walk into the woods each morning
Or around the lake with our dog happily romping by our side
When everything seemed simple
As long as we were together
When the sun seemed to shine brightly all the time
With ne’er a cloud in our sky
And now you are gone and the sun disappeared
And my skies are overcast
Disease has overtaken our world
We can only look out the window in longing
I dream of our wonderful life together
I wish you to be with me once more
But you cannot. You lie silently in your grave
And I dream of days gone by
I dream of the precious days gone by…
